Part 44
Sorry for the delay on this, there's really no excuse for it. I did, however, finish up the main game, so the next update should be the final update as far as the main storyline is concerned.-----------------------------------
![](1-image001.jpg)
First up is Moon Base Gamma.
![](2-image002.jpg)
The layout is exactly the same as the other two Moon Bases. Fortunately, there are no random encounters here.
![](3-image003.jpg)
In fact, the only encounters here are these yellow ones, and the boss at the end.
![](4-image004.jpg)
![](5-image005.jpg)
Yep.
![](6-image006.jpg)
As you might have guessed already, we have to flip these switches to progress.
![](7-image007.jpg)
These guys gave me a bit of trouble, since they loved to spam their High Funnel attacks.
![](8-image008.jpg)
Meh. destroy the Qubeleys, and then focus on the Zeong.
![](9-image009.jpg)
Focus your attacks on one P. Zeong at a time, and you'll do fine.
![](10-image010.jpg)
This final room is a bit of a bastard.
![](11-image011.jpg)
You know those four encounters that we had just fought?
![](12-image012.jpg)
Let's fight them again!
![](13-image013.jpg)
![](14-image014.jpg)
Moving on, it's time for the boss.
![](15-image015.jpg)
Now, something extremely odd happened during this fight.
![](16-image016.jpg)
![](17-image017.jpg)
![](18-image019.jpg)
For some reason, his Beam attack completely ignored Beam field and absolutely destroyed me. I'm not sure WHY this happened, but it definitely caught me off-guard when it happened.
![](19-image020.jpg)
So whenever he's about to use a Boost attack, it's best to defend. Hit him with a System Crack as soon as you possibly can and buff your armor.
![](20-image021.jpg)
And of course, where Beam Field fails, Vargas succeeds.
![](21-image022.jpg)
The Psyco Gundam Gamma is a tough bastard, since he has a ton of HP and his attacks do a ton of damage. Just keep your guard up and you'll be fine.
![](22-image023.jpg)
Our reward is a room filled with loot!
Inside was:
High Power Propellent
High Power Claw (L)
Mega Beam Rifle
Hacking Tool
10000 credits
1 ECAP (L)
Nothing really exciting...
![](23-image024.jpg)
The Mega Beam Rifle looks promising, though.
![](24-image025.jpg)
That's enough of this place, time to go back to Earth!
![](25-image026.jpg)
![](26-image027.jpg)
Time to finish Mt. Trial!
there's an EN Max off to the side, BTW.
![](27-image028.jpg)
When we first came here, we fought enhanced versions of the Mobile Armors. On our second, we fought enhanced versions of the Four Heavenly Kings, and the Devil Gundam.
![](28-image029.jpg)
On our third and final visit, we have to fight the Gundam Wing suits.
![](29-image030.jpg)
the first thing the Altron and Sandrock will do is terrorize the party and lower our defense. Joy.
![](30-image031.jpg)
![](31-image032.jpg)
Despite what you might think, the Altron is more of an annoyance than a threat. some of his Boosts has a chance to cause Short Circuit, but he'll only ever target one person at a time.
![](32-image033.jpg)
The real threat is the Sandrock, since he loves to use Sonic Storm and Sonic Blaster, which in addition to being able to target the entire party, it also has a chance to cause Overheat thanks to his weapon.
![](33-image034.jpg)
Debuff and Destroy the Sandrock as quickly as possible. after that, the battle shouldn't take long.
![](34-image035.jpg)
![:swoon:](../Smilies/emot-swoon.gif)
![](35-image036.jpg)
Our second fight is up against...
![](36-image037.jpg)
These two.
![](37-image038.jpg)
You know the drill, debuff them with System Crack, and then beat them down one at a time.
![](38-image039.jpg)
Unfortunately, the Deathscythe can do the same thing to us.
![](39-image040.jpg)
Best to Focus on the Deathscythe first, since you can easily stop the Heavyarms' attacks with either a Beam Field or an Intercept Snipe. Alternatively, you can focus on the Heavyarms first instead, since he has less health than the Deathscythe.
![](40-image041.jpg)
![](41-image042.jpg)
Don't underestimate the Heavyarms, though, since he can do some damage if you let him.
![](42-image043.jpg)
Once the Deathscythe is down, the Heavyarms is easy pickings.
![](43-image044.jpg)
Fuck yes, one of the awesome Double Gatling Guns!
![](44-image045.jpg)
Obviously, I have to give it to Fritz.
And surprisingly, that was the last battle the Mt. Trial holds for us. the only thing left is to get our reward.
![](45-image046.jpg)
Inside was:
20000 credits
EN Charger
an ECAP (L)
3 ECAP (S)
![](46-image047.jpg)
And now we get our final Wing suit, the DeathScythe!
![](47-image048.jpg)
Farewell, Mt. Trial. It's been fun.
![](48-image049.jpg)
![](49-image050.jpg)
Only one place remains. the G-system in Greenland.
![](50-image051.jpg)
This should actually be the place you visit first once you gain the level 5 card key, since the prize within is extremely easy to get.
![](51-image052.jpg)
It's a straight line to the end, and there are no set encounters that we have to fight.
![](52-image053.jpg)
...wait, what? G-systems can talk?
![](53-image054.jpg)
![:aaa:](../Smilies/emot-aaa.gif)
![](54-image055.jpg)
![:swoon:](../Smilies/emot-swoon.gif)
![](55-image056.jpg)
Way ahead of you.
![](56-image057.jpg)
A quick teleport to Eisengrad in order to make the Deathscythe later...
![](57-image058.jpg)
Sorry Vargas, but It's time to Rezner to stretch her legs for a bit.
I give the Deathscythe to Rezner, and the Nu Gundam to Tremmie.
![](58-image059.jpg)
The Nu Gundam is absolutely fantastic.
![](59-image060.jpg)
The Deathscythe isn't as good, but it's still awesome to have.
![](60-image061.jpg)
Can't really mess with the Nu Gundam, but I did give it some optional parts.
![](61-image062.jpg)
The Deathscythes Wings are pretty awesome, but I take them off since they don't offer a EN boost, and Armor isn't really important in the late game.
![](62-image063.jpg)
There we go.
Time for a team update!
Katz
![](63-image064.jpg)
![](64-image065.jpg)
![](65-image066.jpg)
No change with Katz.
Aeon
![](66-image067.jpg)
![](67-image068.jpg)
![](68-image069.jpg)
The Wing Gundam is great for Aeon, since it's speed really buffs up her rather poor reflexes.
Fritz
![](69-image070.jpg)
![](70-image071.jpg)
![](71-image072.jpg)
No real change with Fritz other than some new guns.
Tremmie
![](72-image073.jpg)
![](73-image074.jpg)
![](74-image075.jpg)
Tremmie really needed this suit upgrade, since the Zeta was beginning to show its age.
Rezner
![](75-image076.jpg)
![](76-image077.jpg)
![](77-image078.jpg)
Rezner is basically a second Katz to me, only with a focus on spears and swords instead of on swords and axes.
Bazuli
![](78-image079.jpg)
![](79-image080.jpg)
![](80-image081.jpg)
No change with Bazuli.
